The purpose of this study is to compare various cover crop termination timings and their impact on yield and profitability.

2021 Ohio Soybean COVER CROP TERMINATION STUDY

Voles were present in this field. When the cereal rye was terminated late, the voles moved to the emerging soybeans as the cover crop died off. This reduced the stand and caused yield loss.
