The purpose of this study is to compare 15 in. and 30 in. rows, at various planting populations, in an attempt to determine the Economic Optimum Seeding Rate (EOSR) for each row width.

The fixed-ear hybrid, XL® 6282AM™*brand, definitely responded to increased planting populations in the 15 in. rows. Over the three years of this study, yield differences between the row widths would not be attractive enough to warrant a change.
