The purpose of this study is to compare different nitrogen rates and placements, utilizing Precision Planting’s Conceal® 2x2x2 system, and their impact on yield and profitability.

2020 Ohio Corn Nitrogen Placement Study - 2x2x2

This data shows a clear advantage for switching to nitrogen on both sides of the row. Interestingly, we saw a distinct advantage to applying less nitrogen with the planter and more in the sidedress application, which we believe was driven by local weather patterns that included a long dry spell after planting.
