The purpose of this study is to utilize Precision Planting’s FurrowJet® attachments to apply starter fertilizers and various fungicide products that are not compatible with a starter fertilizer, in an attempt to increase yield and profitability.

This study shows one advantage to Precision Planting’s FurrowJet® system; it’s able to run two different products in-furrow (one through the wings and one through the center), each at their own rate. We believe that the warm soils, fast emergence, and strong early-season growth all contributed to the lack of response we saw from either in-furrow fungicide product this year.
