The purpose of this study is to compare various sugar products, applied in-furrow, and their impact on plant health, yield and profitability.

2017 Minnesota AgRevival Corn Sugar Study - In-Furrow

With cool soil temperatures still present in Minnesota at the time of planting on May 10, it appears that the in-furrow sugar application was unable to stimulate microbial activity. Additionally, minimal in-season differences were observed between the different sugar treatments in 2017.
