2016 Kentucky Soybean Insecticide Study - Capture® VGR™

Both varieties chosen for this study have excellent emergence and they both came up out of the ground equally well. Throughout the early growth stages, both varieties developed very fast due to the warm temperatures this year.

The fast, early growth of the soybeans helped them outgrow any minor insect damage, possibly limiting the value of insecticide. However the BECK 394L4brand variety yielded much higher overall and also exhibited a greater response to the Capture® VGR™.

As yield levels increase, so do nutrient demands. Were the beneficial bacteria from the VGR soil amendment able to increase nutrient availability and therefore yield?
