There were 144 Challenges completed from Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan and Kentucky. Excessive rain during planting, extreme heat in the summer, and then a late harvest challenged many growers' efforts to reach 300 bushels this year. "At Beck's, we understand that achieving 300 bushels per acre depends on the soil type, varying management practices utilized and the weather," said Scott Beck, vice president of Beck's Hybrids. "But with the Beck 300 Challenge program, growers can find the right ingredients to increase yields on their acres, ultimately striving to reach 300 bushels."
