INDIANAPOLIS-The National FFA Foundation announced today that Beck's Hybrids has contributed $70,000 for support of the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Ind. The 79th convention will be held October 25-28, 2006. This gift will help support the activities and awards programs that will take place over the next seven years while the convention is being held in Beck's marketing area.
"We appreciate all that the FFA program does to help prepare our youth for leadership in agriculture and other areas of society," said Scott Beck, Vice President, Beck's Hybrids. "We enjoy being a partner with the FFA organization." "This latest contribution is an extension of the involvement that Beck's has maintained over the years with state and local chapters," said Dennis Sargent, Executive Director of the National FFA Organization.
The $70,000 check was presented to the National FFA Foundation just prior to Becknology™ Days, a field day event held every year at their home facility near Atlanta, Ind. During this year's event, Beck's will celebrate their 70th Anniversary as a family-owned seed business.
