Beck's Begins Construction on London, Ohio Facility

September 15, 2014

Atlanta, Indiana – Beck’s is pleased to announce that construction has begun on the company’s London, Ohio facility. Located just east of Farm Science Review with access to both I-70 and U.S. 40, the new facility will allow Beck’s to better serve customer needs throughout central Ohio.

“We are excited to have started construction on our new facility in London, Ohio,” said Scott Beck, vice president of Beck’s. “Once complete, the facility will provide closer access for Beck dealers and customers in central Ohio to pick up seed. The location will also be a resource for Ohio farmers to learn and make decisions from the Practical Farm Research being conducted at this site.”

Plans for the new 53,000 square-foot facility include multiple offices and meeting rooms, two loading docks, an equipment shop, and storage area. In addition, the facility will provide Ohio farmers with a place to come for field days and agronomic meetings, as well as to view Practical Farm Research (PFR)® studies. Beck’s PFR studies are designed with the farmer in mind and highlight how different management practices and new technologies perform in field environments.

At this location, Beck’s will provide multiple job opportunities including full-time positions in distribution, service, agronomic support, and Practical Farm Research. Beck’s will also be offering part-time employment throughout various times of the year at the London site.

“At Beck’s, we strive to provide our customers with the best choices in genetics and traits, as well as agronomic support and service,” said Sonny Beck, president of Beck’s. “Establishing our London site is just another way Beck’s is dedicated to providing our customers with the best in seed quality, field performance, and service.”
