Do you know an Indiana farm family who works hard and is involved in their community? Nominations are now being accepted for the 2017 Farm Family of the Year award. For the past 20 years, Beck’s and Indiana AgriNews have been honoring one Indiana farm family for their work on the farm, service to their community and agriculture industry. The award is aimed at increasing awareness of the important contributions all farm families make to our daily lives.

Nominations can be for a neighbor, friend, or your own family and may be submitted by completing the nomination form and returning it to Indiana AgriNews at 2563 E. 55th Place, Indianapolis, IN 46220. Due to the cold and wet spring we have experienced this year, we are extending the registration deadline to May 20, 2016. We understand that every farmer has different needs, preferences, and unique challenges on their farms. As a result of that, we’ve also decided to regionalize the Journey to 300 and Journey to 100 yield challenges this year in an effort to shift the focus more to the journey and less on the competition. Calling all Seniors!

Beck’s is currently accepting applications from high school seniors for the Beck’s Leadership in Agriculture Scholarship. In recognition of an outstanding student, Beck’s will award $2,000 to the recipient who demonstrates how they have been affected by agriculture and how those experiences will affect their future endeavors.

Deadline for all applications is March 1, 2016.

Applicants must reside in KY, TN, Southern IL, SW IN or SE MO

The Henningsens will perform live from booth 2061, starting at 1:00 p.m. both Tuesday and Wednesday. The country music trio's set will include fan favorites along with their new song, Why I Farm, inspired by Beck’s Why I Farm movement.

2015 We Care for Orphans Adoption Fund Sweepstakes Winner

We're excited to announce the winner of the We Care for Orphans Adoption Fund Sweepstakes, Paul Friend of Crittenden, KY! Paul purchased his ticket at the Farm Science Review in London, OH on September 16, 2014. The winning ticket was drawn on March 5, 2015. Scott and Shantel Beck presented the truck keys to Paul and his wife, Brenda, on March 19, 2015 at the Beck's headquarters in Atlanta, IN.
