As I sit here and reflect on all of the wonderful food I ate and memories I made over the Christmas holiday, my mind quickly turns to the special family traditions we honor each year. Traditions are something I think are incredibly important to each family. To me, traditions are very special in the fact that they help carry on the lessons and values that my parents, grandparents and even great grandparents instilled and built their families upon.

The other day I was making my usual grocery list, writing down the items without even thinking. Milk, coffee, creamer, cereal, bananas, veggies, meat, bread, cheese, granola bars, applesauce, and various other things.

Well it’s that time. The time between Christmas and New Year’s where I’m back at work, but still thinking about the wonderful times spent with family, afternoon naps I was able to squeeze in, and all the great food I ate last week for Christmas. And just maybe regretting having that extra piece of cake… (In my defense, it was my birthday cake, AND it was the last piece, I couldn’t let it go to waste…right?)
