Every dog has a story. The majority of the farms I visit seem to have a farm dog. It seems like these dogs are usually a mixed breed. The more I think about it, I very rarely see a purebred version of man’s best friend. From my own experience, the more mixed the dog, the more brains God put in his head.

We’ve always had a dog. From English Setters, Pointers, a Chesapeake Bay, Beagles, a Blue Healer, a Tibetan Spaniel, and Labrador Retrievers, a dog has been essential to our farm. And for many of us, they’re not just companions, their family. We even talk to them as if they’re human. Don’t shake your head no; I know you all do this.
