Bringing Practical Farm Research to your Farm

Published on Monday, March 06, 2017

Beck’s has set itself apart from other seed companies in the industry by providing farmers with the ultimate, unbiased agronomic resource – the Practical Farm Research (PFR)® Book. Beck’s has six locations across five states in the Midwest with a combined total of over 700 acres devoted to testing products and practices to determine what works the best and will consistently provide farmers with the highest return on investment. All of this is done with the sole purpose of helping farmers succeed. The 2016 PFR Book features over 110 studies, and 60 of those studies were conducted at multiple PFR sites.

At Beck’s, we continue to look for new ways to help farmers improve their operations. One way we hope to do that is through the expansion of our PFR Partner Program. The goal of this program is to bring our PFR research to your farm, with the help of Beck’s FARMserver technology.

PFR Partners brings the research, experience, and expertise of Beck’s team and resources to your farm to help you make better management decisions down the road. With the help of FARMserver, we can plan, implement, and capture the data of whichever study is most relevant to your operation. FARMserver is a free, web-based program to any Beck’s customer with corn or soybeans on order.

There are several studies that are available through PFR Partners such as the planting date and planting population studies. These are two studies that can be executed seamlessly through FARMserver. Seeding prescriptions can be written with ease and planter monitors will record the date when performing any task in the field. In-furrow fungicide and insecticide applications as well as the micronutrient foliar applications studies are also on the list of available PFR Partner Program studies this year and can provide vital information in your farm management decision making.

With the help of your local Beck’s representatives, you can bring PFR to your operation to learn and grow your business by challenging the status quo. If you would like to learn more about Beck’s PFR or FARMserver, contact your local Beck’s representative or follow the links below.
