Happy New Year! What would be a better way to kick off the New Year than to attend a PFR Insight Meeting? New in 2017, PFR Insight Meetings (formally known as Beck’s Winter Meetings) will be nothing like any meeting you have previously attended. Showcasing our new PFR Proven™ concept, these meetings will provide unique insight into the technologies and management practices that you can translate into financial value for your farm.
With a magnitude of products and agronomic practices being tested in Practical Farm Research (PFR)®, we needed a way to sort the wheat from the chaff so to speak. We needed a way to highlight or catalog the things that have consistently added to our bottom line and could potentially add to yours. And thus, the PFR Proven concept was born. If a PRACTICE has been tested in PFR and found to be the most profitable, then that practice will earn the status “PFR Proven.” Additionally, if a PRODUCT has been tested in PFR and found to provide positive yield gains and averages a positive return on investment (ROI) over a minimum of three years, that product will earn the status PFR Proven and should be something to consider trying on your farm. These PFR Proven products and practices should be viewed as a starting point and we would encourage you to consult your local Beck's representative to determine the best practices and products for your area.
The 2017 PFR Insight Meetings will be tailored around these PFR Proven products and practices, and focus only on the things that we know have worked within our system. But that is only the first step. Now that we have identified the PFR Proven products and practices, how do we know if these products are going to remain profitable in the future as grain prices fluctuate. If you had to sell your corn next year at $2.50/Bu., would a fungicide application still provide a positive ROI? What if there was a resource that showed you the breakeven grain market price for a product to remain profitable? What if there was a tool that could tell you if an input was a wise investment at current grain prices at the moment you were making that purchase decision?
Now there is. PFR Insight Meetings are an event you don’t want to miss. Click here to find and register for a meeting near you today.
Thanks, and I hope to see you there!
