Planting green in the spring in corn? When is the best timing to terminate a cover crop?
The London, Ohio, Practical Farm Research (PFR)® site is implementing a cover crop termination study for the first time this year. The treatments of this cover crop study include terminate prior to planting (as early as possible), terminate prior to planting (1-2 weeks prior to planting), and plant green + terminate during pre-emerge. Join Jared Chester, OH PFR Location Lead, as he discusses early season observations of the different treatments with using cereal rye as a cover crop.
