Therefore, if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose. (Philippians 2:1-2, NASB)
YOU CAN DO THIS! Stop. Stop letting the world determine your attitude…daily…yearly… for life. Your attitude is entirely yours to determine.
In his book, “Strengthening Your Grip: How To Be Grounded In A Chaotic World” (first released over 30+ years ago), Chuck Swindoll shares these truths regarding to attitude: “This may shock you, but I believe the single most significant decision I can make on a day-to-day basis is my choice of attitude. It is more important than my past, my education, my bankroll, my successes, or failures, fame, or pain, what other people think of me or say about me, my circumstances, or my position. Attitude is that “single string” that keeps me going or cripples my progress. It alone fuels my fire or assaults my hope. When my attitudes are right, there’s no barrier too high, no valley too deep, no dream too extreme, no challenge too great for me.”
So go on. You choose. Not choosing is a choice already made and, believe me, outside forces will work hard to determine your attitude for you… Joshua 24:14-15
