PFR Report: Harvest Update on Corn Nitrogen Rate Study - Fungicide Response

Published on Tuesday, December 8, 2020

What is the ideal V3 sidedress rate of nitrogen, applied in the form of UAN on corn? New for 2020, Practical Farm Research (PFR™) implemented a nitrogen rate study to determine the impact of 150, 200, and 250 pounds of nitrogen sidedressed at V3. An R1 application of the fungicide Triavpro® was made at a 13.7 oz rate in this trial. The fungicide application was executed to understand the relationship between the various rates of nitrogen fertilizer and Trivapro® application. Camille Lambert, Kentucky Field Agronomist, discusses in-season and harvest observations in this plot with Luke Wilson, the Henderson, Kentucky, PFR Technician.
