When is it warranted to replant corn after a frost event?
Join Clayton Stufflebeam, Central Illinois Practical Farm Research (PFR) Location Lead, as he reviews the new PFR frost study on corn, prior to harvest.
The frost study was implemented this year to determine what growth stages a frost event impacts corn yields more - frost at V2 or frost at V4. Frost events at V2 and V4 growth stages were replanted and left alone to determine if leaving the corn crop alone after the frost event was more profitable than replanting.
