More of Thee, less of me! More of Thee, less of me! More of Thee, less of me!
Several years ago, in elementary school classrooms across this great land of ours, repetition was used as a valuable method of learning. We repeated the alphabet, vowels and vowel sounds, numbers, primary colors, multiplication tables, spelling words, dates, famous addresses, songs, poems, and yes, even The Pledge of Allegiance! Over and over, day in, and day out. Before long, we learned the material which was being taught.
Beware though, the enemy has latched on to this great learning tool, as well. Negativity and messages that dishonor God are thrust at us unnumbered times all day long until they become instilled in our minds and show themselves in our actions and attitudes. Fight back! Refocus! If need be, scream out loud or under your breath over and over again scriptures, prayers, scripture-based songs, and the Name of Jesus! As the world screams “Me, me, me” we must scream back, “More of Thee, less of me!”
After all, “all things have been created through Him and for Him” and all means you and me.
