Planting Recommendations

Should I be planting corn or soybeans? Should I plant corn or soybeans first? These are common questions agronomists, like Chad Kalaher, face each spring. In this video, Chad discusses his planting suggestions in different field conditions. Main factors to evaluate when considering a planting pass include:

  • How dry and 'fit' the soils are
  • What the soil temperatures will be during and after planting (target 50°F and above)

Reach out to your local Beck’s representative with additional planting questions this spring.
