Lawrence "Sonny" Beck is President of Beck's Superior Hybrids, Atlanta, IN. where his business philosophy emphasizes quality, service, and the importance of agronomic research to the future profitability of the corn and soybean farmer.

Married to Glendia Beck. Parents of three grown children who are all involved in the family business. Enjoys having eleven grandchildren.

Scott graduated from Purdue University in 1987 with a degree in Agronomy. Today, Scott serves on the company's five-member management team and has responsibilities as Advertising Manager, Practical Farm Research Manager, and other administrative duties. He has served on the Indiana Crop Improvement Association Board as President, as well as on the Board of the American Seed Trade Association representing the Corn and Sorghum Division.

Today, Scott and his wife Shantel live on the home farm, and enjoy church and sports activities with their three sons and daughter. (Corey, Chris, Jason, and Jordyn)

In August 1972, Lee Rulon, a 1967 University of Kentucky graduate, joined the Beck's Hybrids staff. Lee has served Beck's in many capacities through the years. Currently he is Marketing Director where he is instrumental in leading the sales staff in their commitment to bring you, the customer, not only a quality product but also superior service. The entire Beck's Hybrids team strives to portray Lee's dedication to customer focus.

Although he remains very busy with his duties at Beck's, Lee finds time to serve on many boards and projects throughout the community and state. His various interests include aviation, travel and water sports.

Lee and his wife Kathy live near Arcadia, Indiana. Their two children, Sally Mangas and Gavin Rulon also live in the community. This gives Lee and Kathy an opportunity to spend time with their nine grandchildren.

After graduating from Purdue University in 1986 with a B.S. in Agricultural Economics, Tom Hooper worked in agricultural chemical sales in Iowa, Kansas and Indiana.

Tom joined Beck's staff in February 1990 and currently holds the title of Sales Manager and serves on Beck's five member Management team. Tom believes in the philosophy of "Under Promise and Over Deliver." The privilege to serve customers and to help them raise crops successfully is the reason Tom comes to work every day.

Tom enjoys many outside activities when he is not in the office, including carpentry, flying, antique tractors, coaching soccer, making hay and volunteering on several community boards.

Tom and his wife Beth together have a total of eight children, four boys (Colton, Elijah, Tyler & Isaac) and four girls (Larissa, Olivia, Mariah & Katie).

Kevin Cavanaugh

Kevin Cavanaugh grew up in Northwest Ohio near Deshler on a small grain/livestock farm.  He attended Iowa State University majoring in Agronomy.  He received his Masters of Science degree from Purdue University in 1991 in Plant Breeding and Genetics and a Ph.D. from Purdue University in 1993.  Kevin's thesis focused on the inheritance of hard endosperm in corn and also how other traits were affected after several cycles of selection for hard endosperm.  Kevin became an employee of Beck's Hybrids in 1993 as Beck's Plant Breeder.  In July of 1994, he was promoted to Research Director.

Kevin's personal interests include traveling, outdoor activities, basketball and racquetball.  His wife's name is Carey and they have two sons, Grant and Jackson.
