Nitrogen Stabilizers

Many of you will be sidedressing corn in the coming weeks. Nitrogen represents a significant part of the investment needed to grow a corn crop, so we want to maximize yield while being efficient in the process. Nitrogen stabilizers are one way to accomplish this goal. Two-year data from Beck’s Practical Farm Research (PFR)® Nitrogen Stabilizer Study suggests that 20 lb. of additional nitrogen provides the best return on investment. However, from a stewardship and environmental standpoint, the stabilizer is the best choice.
