Stay tuned for details on our 2017 PFR Proven™ challenge!
We understand that every farmer has different needs, preferences, and unique challenges on their farms. As a result of that, we’ve decided to regionalize the Journey to 300 and Journey to 100 yield challenges this year in an effort to shift the focus more to the journey and less on the competition. Every soil type, productivity level, region and personal journey to higher yields is unique and they should be evaluated that way.

What does it take to raise 300 bushel corn? This was a question asked nearly 30 years ago by our farmer customers. Beck's responded by adding the Journey to 300 Yield Challenge Practical Farm Research Study. Since the question was asked, we have successfully hit the 300 bushel goal eight years. In 2014, Beck's hit the goal at two PFR locations for the first time.

In 2009, we developed the Journey to 300 (formally Beck 300 Challenge.) The objective is to challenge growers to try new management practices to break 300 bushels on their farm, partner with them to greatly improve yields, and create awareness that 300 bushels per acre is possible.
In 2015, the top five participants achieved an average yield of 311.0 Bu./A., with an 84.0 Bu./A. average yield increase over their fields’ historical yields. With the top yield of 330.3 Bu./A. (XL® 6158™*brand), we're excited to announce that Mike Nocton of Richmond, IN., is the winner of Beck’s 2015 Journey to 300 yield challenge.
