Quality Trait Products (QTP®)

Quality Trait Products (QTP®) are seed products that have an output trait or characteristic that makes them more desirable to an end-user of grain and more valuable to Beck's Hybrids customers. Examples of Quality Traits in our product lineup are waxy and food grade corn or clear hilum soybeans.

Roger Levy, Ph.D., Quality Traits Research Manager, works with the Beck's research team to identify current products and to create new products that meet the many different needs of grain processors in Beck's marketing area.

Brent Minett, Quality Traits Market Manager, develops and cultivates relationships with the end-users of grain and helps put them together with Beck's customers interested in contracting grain.

The overall effort of the QTP team has brought farmers the benefit of having many BECK Brand products on the premium lists of multiple grain buyers throughout Beck's marketing area.

Beck's Vistive Soybeans

Beck's Vistive soybeans produce low-linolenic oil, which allows food processors to reduce the need for hydrogenation. When used by food companies, low-linolenic oil from Vistive soybeans can lower or eliminate unhealthy trans fats from oils in foods. Growers benefit from the demand for foods low in trans fats because it creates a market for Vistive soybeans.
