Beck’s Hybrids is pleased to announce the 2012 Beck 300 Challenge top five participants. There were 60 Challenges completed from Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan and Kentucky. Extreme heat with little to no rain throughout the growing season challenged many farmers’ efforts to reach 300 bushels this year.
Beck's History of Raising 300 Bushel Corn
What does it take to raise 300 bushel corn? This was a question asked nearly 30 years ago by our farmer customers. Beck's responded by adding the 300 Bushel Attempt Practical Farm Research Study. Since the question was asked, we have successfully hit the 300 bushel goal 5 years.
2010: Beck 6077HR™* = 304.7 Bu./A.
2009: Beck 6733HXR™* = 320.7 Bu./A.
2008: Beck 6733HXR™* = 332.4 Bu./A.
